The Adapt Form panel, at the bottom of the VizieR Search Page,
allows to change the presentation of the query form:
- either in the set of the columns listed in the Query Form:
by default, only a subset of the existing columns are
proposed.
- Checking the Columns with UCDs box
asks to display the UCD
(Unified Content Descriptor) associated to
each column. The UCDs are a way to
describe in some uniform way the huge diversity of
parameters supplied in all VizieR tables (over 105 columns)
- Pushing the ALL button will redisplay
the form, enlarged to include all columns of the selected
catalogue.
- Pushing the Default columns button
will restrict the list of the displayed columns to
the standard set
- Pushing the Customized set of columns button
will redisplay the form, presenting only the set of columns
which are checked or qualified (i.e. with the leftmost
checkbox button active, or which contain a constraint).
- or by adding or removing a panel for Queries from
a LIST saved in a file, for
- either a LIST of Targets (position in the sky defined
by an actual position or the name of the central object)
- or a LIST of Constraints one one parameter
(e.g. a list of HIP numbers to be entered to the
HIP column of some table presenting results
about Hipparcos stars)
